What Its Like To Be in My Last Year of College- THEODDTALKS

I walked out of my last class of the day feeling like I could conquer the world. I looked around me and watched the freshmen as they scurried around campus, some lost, some hopeful and a few inquisitive and I smiled. It seems like it was just yesterday that I began this journey into adulthood and college life. I can't begin to express how nervous I am about beginning something this life-changing.

Welcome to College, Freshman Class of 2021, especially to my Black Queens. I remember when I was in your shoes starting out my own 4 years (or 5 or 6, its fine, you can take your time) not knowing who I was or where I wanted to be. My advice would be to just do it (you know, like Nike). Follow your dreams and step out of your comfort zone. I have had to do this so many times and although you might think... yeah I have heard that advice so many times... blegh! It does actually work. Following my dreams is what got me to America and stepping out of my comfort zone gave me my Blog and Instagram and everything else I am currently trying to do. Also make sure you strive to be the best version of yourself and make an impact. You are who you are and no one else can be YOU and so make it a point to push yourself to be your best self.

With all that advice I would also tell you, I am scared. I am scared of unknown possibilities and endless opportunities. I am freaking out about life after graduation and what that would mean for my dreams. College has been my safe haven. I have a routine already and I know everybody. To be thrown into the real world sounds pretty scary. And don't even get me started on the woes I hear from everyone who keeps telling me how hard "adulting is". Haha! I get it, I am going to hate it.

The point I am trying to make is although I am scared and nervous, I am also hopeful and excited for what is to come. Be it Law school or graduate school or even a gap year to try to figure out my path. I am hopeful for new beginnings and like I keep saying, I cannot wait for you all to be a part of it.

This was a pretty short blog post because I don't have a lot to say. I am still pretty overwhelmed with school now and the idea that this is all almost over but new content should be coming out sometime next week.

Talk to you soon loves,

Cheers,

Sofi.
